The holy Ark of the Covenant, holding the Tablets with the Ten Commandments, was kept in the Holy of Holies, the center of the Mishkan where G-d spoke to Moses and the Jews. Raised on a metal base, it is imposingly depicted here in a gleaming gold metal sculpture being carried on gold covered poles with a shofar blower leading the way.
